Adult Faith Formation                    

The Adult Faith Formation ministry provides opportunities to deepen one’s faith in the areas of theology, prayer and spirituality.

Altar Servers            

Men and women, boys and girls (from grade 4 and above) who assist at Mass or Funeral Masses to enhance the worship of our faith community. 

Baptism Preparation                       

Preparing parents for the formation of their child’s faith. 

Children’s Liturgy of the Word                 

Children’s Liturgy of the Word is volunteer program whereby children are dismissed from the assembly to a room in the rectory, where the readings and Gospel are proclaimed from a Children's Lectionary. The children are called forward and dismissed before the readings from scripture in the assembly. 

Eucharistic Adoration         

The First Tuesday of each month from 1 PM to 2 PM.  The Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored.  We come together to pray for the revitalization of our parish and our neighborhood.

Extraordinary Ministers of Communion              

Extraordinary Ministers of Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound.

Finance Council                   

Advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and is responsible for monitoring all income and expenses and approving the annual budgets.

Food Cupboard                    

The Food Cupboard operates year round to provide nutritious food for our neediest neighbors.  The program is staffed by volunteers and supplies are provided by the generosity of many parishes, organizations and individuals.         

Food for the Poor     

Each first Sunday of the Month food is collected at the masses for the parish food cupboard.

Garden Club             

Volunteers who care for and beautify the garden and grounds.


Parish volunteers who warmly welcome parishioners as they enter the Church for Mass


Volunteers who offer hospitality every First Sunday of the Month after the 10 AM Mass.


Reader who proclaims the Scriptures at Mass and other services.

Linen Service           

Responsible for the preparation and care of the altar linens.  This includes the washing and ironing of purificators, corporals and altar linens.


Volunteers who work around the parish/church buildings to ensure that the plant is operating fully and safely.  They are also oversee the work of contractors called in for major repairs.

Music Ministry                     

Join together in song, under the direction of our choir director.  Sing at the 10 AM Sunday Mass, as your schedule allows.  Contact the Choir Director.

Parish Pastoral Council      

The PPC is involved in most activities and programs effecting the liturgical and spiritual life of St. Gabriel Parish.  The PPC meets on the Second Tuesday of each month from September to June, meets in the rectory at 7 PM.


Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) – Religious Education for school age children who attend public schools (Grades 1 – 6) or who are home-schooled.


Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults – Religious Education program for adults who have not completed the Sacraments of Initiation – Confirmation, Eucharist – or non-Catholic adults who would like to find out more about our Catholic faith.


Volunteers whose duties include preparing the altar for Mass and cleaning the altar following Mass.


Volunteers who take up the collection.
